The 2nd expansion pack for World of Warcraft releases in exactly 2 weeks. The beta is still up and running, but if you didn't get an invite, I highly recommend visiting www.projectlore.com. Project Lore is a World of Warcraft online show. At the moment, the cast of Project Lore is doing a level 80 instance and filming every awesome minute of it. Also, one of the cast members releases a Death Knight gameplay video every 2 days, so check it out to get your WoW Fix.

I can't wait to get into the new content of the expansion pack. Hopefully the servers won't be down for too long. Hopefuly....

Alright so I'm back to my good old blog design. It's much easier to update, and since I don't have any new content for now, this is the best way to update the website. If anyone is still interested, I'm still into Flash and animation. I'm actually looking for some job openings, but right now I'm finishing my last college year. I've been watching a ton of TV shows and playing too much World of Warcraft. I'm actually thinking of turning all of that into some kind of review-blog-video website. For WoW players, I got 2 level 70's on Manaroth and Bleeding Hollow. Hope to play with some remaining fans, hopefully I still got some!

Last night I got back from a 3 day camping vacation with my friends. We had great weather and tons of fun, even though I hardly have any money left. Now I'm back to work, finishing up my dad's website, and working on my new toon. No, its not Prehistorik episode 2. It's TSAH2 (There's Something About Halo). I was asked to fill in for one of the parts, so I have to work on that before doing anything else. I'm really excited to animate this project because many popular Flash artists are on board with it. You can view the first TSAH here.

Don't worry, im not quitting Prehistorik. I can't wait to work on the next episode and I got so many ideas.

Prehistorik: Cave Chick

I've been having problems with the first episode of Preshitorik. When I started animating, I realised that the script is much longer than I had imagined. I had so much trouble continuing animating thinking that this toon would take me forever to finish. The problem is, I want Prehistorik to be a short, fun cartoons that I can release episodes at a good pace. So I decided to scrap it... I had maybe 10-15 hours of animation already + most of the voices. I hate doing that, but that's part of the game. Instead, I made a new, shorter script. Titled "Cave Chick", a toon about Bo and Rok (as you can see in the screenshot). It's already halfway done, and is looking pretty good for my standards. My good friend and long-time contributor to my toons Glenn Z composed a couple of songs for the toon, as well as the main theme for each episode (thanks so much Glenn). I want to finish everything next week, but I still have to animate the theme song and that might be long, so I have no idea! But still, production is much easier and much more fun.

In gaming news, I bought Table Tennis for the 360. It was on sale so it was really worth it. I love the game and it's really addicting, so check it out guys!

I've been working slowly on Prehistorik. I want to make some money this summer, so I've started making websites. Because Prehistorik is just for fun, I need to lower its priority and concentrate on websites. I wanted to finish the first episode before the end of June, but my predictions were once again WRONG.

I wanna buy a couple of 360 games this week. Now that Perfect Dark Zero's price has lowered, I've been thinking of finaly grabing it. Table Tennis is 10$ cheaper, so I might get both! Oh, and in August I'm going camping and I'm looking for a DS game for the car ride. Any suggestions? Post in the comments please!

Taking a vacation from a vacation

Took two days this week to spend some time with my dad at our cottage, or as we frenchies like to call it, our "chalet". He works out here building a high speed Internet service using Wi-Fi technology, which I am using right now to type up this blog post! I had fun, even though I had to work here. Coming back in town tonight.

Earlier this afternoon I was watching this documentary on Disney. The show consisted of a bunch of analysts that were talking about all the flaws from past Disney movies. They were showing some intesting stuff like how the writer of the song for the opening theme of Aladdin actually submitted 2 different versions and Disney chose the version that was actually racist and that Agrabah is a barbaric village with mean vendors who will cut off the hand of anyone who steals food from them. The analyst said that in 1 country they cut off the hand after 3 convictions, but still, that's pretty weird. They talked about other stuff such as male authority versus female, asians, black people and such. Some of you might be saying: come on, it's a cartoon for kids. Yeah it is, but don't forget, cartoons don't act on their own. Adults write the stories and they don't have special rules to follow...think about that.

In gaming news, I've stopped playing World of Warcraft. After almost 80 hours of play, I decided to switch RPGs. I am now into Guild Wars: Factions. My friends started playing so I decided to jump ships before they got too far. It's quite fun, even though I haven't seen much of it yet!

In my previous post I talked about a gaming podcast. Well, the site administrator asked us to make a demo podcast and send it to them to evaluated if it is good enough for the site. We will record it tomorrow, and we are prepared, so I hope everything will work out because my friend and I are both very motivated to make a kick ass show.

I've been having trouble gathering all the voices for Prehistorik. I took an important decision and decided to make some voice acting changes. I'm trying to get back on track, but it's hard when I don't have the support I need for the project.

Evening chaps! Can't believe that my summer vacation is already 2 weeks old! Many great things have been stirring up here at the office (and by office, I mean basement). Prehistorik is going smoothly, I've been able to catch up with my friends, I've been able to get out and play some tennis, and of course, I caught up on some videogames. I'm playing Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter atm. It's a good game, but very frustrating at times. My friend and I have also discovred a cool website for french gamers. Basically, this site is a database of all the french gamers who own Xboxes and Xbox360s. My friend and I would be interested in doing a podcast for that site, so I'll give some info when we get an answer. I hope you guys are on vacation or almost on vacation, see you later!

Da Vinci Code

I just got back from the Da Vinci Code. Now that I have no school, I can finally catch up on movies/games and Flash. The movie was great. Despite all the bad reviews, I still wanted to see it. Now, I am not hard to please movie-wise, and that's why I loved it. I can see why some people hated it. Some parts of it were confusing and some parts seemed badly scripted, but STILL, I think it was enjoyable and the atmosphere was really interesting. It was mysterious and yet, interesting to hear the theories about Christ. I would recommend it to anyone who isn't close-minded about Christinanity.

In other news, I've restarted playing World of Warcraft. I had to take a break from it to study, but now I am back and I am once again addicted. And of course, when I'm not playing, I animate Prehistorik!

IT'S OVER!!!

Oh God. After countless hours of work, many nights of long hard work in which I had no idea what I was doing, my college term is over. I don't think I'm failing anything, but the final marks haven't come in yet. I can finally work intensively on Prehistorik. I hope to finish the 1st episode before the end of June. I got most of the voices in so the deadline is possible. Other than that, I am considering doing a couple of touch ups on the site. Make it a bit more cleaner and maybe change some fonts here and there. I'll be updating more now, but I still wanna wish everyone a great summer and don't waste your time!!

Final weeks

I'm currently bathing in disgusting final exams juices, so I haven't even opened Flash yet. I can't wait for school to finish, so I can really sink my teeth into the first Epi of Prehistorik. This week I printed out a huge poster and hung it on my wall, its really nice, so I'll post a picture asap.

Yesterday I watched the season finale of The O.C. I've watched every season and I really like them all, even though this one was weak in many ways. And the season ends pretty dramatically, with the death of a major character. I'm curious to see if the see how the show will survive next season, now that all the kids are getting seperated to go into different colleges. We shall see!

I have been getting more voices in for Prehistorik: Episode 1. Everything is going smoothly and I hope to have more time to work on it soon. I've also brought a picture of the whole prehistorik cast to the a copy store, so I'm getting a huge poster of that tomorrow.

E3 Week!

I'm a huge gamer, so I thought it was important to talk about the E3 in my blog. E3 is the biggest videogame exposition. Every year, Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft announce their upcoming products and during the week, people can test them. This year was a very important E3, because Sony and Nintendo showcased their new consoles, the Nintendo Wii and the Sony PlayStation 3. Both consoles are playable and all I can say is, you can count on me to be camping in front of a Best Buy for a Nintendo Wii the day it launches. The Wii will reinvent gaming, by making the controller in the shape of a remote and instead of aiming, stearing, piloting with an analog stick, users just have to move the remote. Almost like a virtual reality machine. In my opinion, Nintendo definately delivered. A huge surprise from Nintendo was the announcement of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, the third installment in the Smash Bros. franchise. They released a trailer, and in it, we see....Solid Snake. Yes, Snake will be a playable character and I can't wait to see what other third party characters Nintendo will be able to offer. I also liked what Sony showed with the PS3, however, the 500$-600$ price tag turned me off. I am no longer considering buying it at launch, maybe when the price lowers. Even then, it will depend what games are available for the system. As for Microsoft, they announced some cool games, including Halo3! Can't wait to play that one as well. But the 2007 date showed at the end of the trailer was a bit deceiving, but understandable.

This week is a pretty busy week because classes are coming to an end, so I must prepare for the final evaluations. I had the time to work a bit on Prehistorik. Music and voices are coming in slowly but surely, and I can't wait to start animating the whole episode. More as it unfolds my friends.

Pico Day!

Last Sunday was Pico day, a day to celebrate Tom Fulp's birthday, the founder of Newgrounds.com. Pico is a character that he created to make a couple of games in Flash. At the time, these games were revolutionary for Flash and people quickly fell in love with Pico. Now, every April 30th, people submit Flash animations and games that feature Pico, kinda like a birthday present, which I think is really cool. Some of these submissions are still on Newgrounds.com's front page, so check it out! In other news, last Thursday I had an oral presentation in my English class and we had to teach something we learned in our college program. I presented how to make a Flash animation in 3 steps. I did not get my grade yet, but I think it went great.

Also, I've been working hard on Prehistorik: Episode 1. The script is written and the voices will be recorded shortly. My good friend Glenn Zeruth is working on a theme song for the series, and from what I've heard, it's amazing so far. In other crappy news, my throat started to itch pretty badly today and now my nose is stuffed up...hope this won't develop into a cold.

I've been getting a lot of great comments on Sheezyart and Deviantart about my latest toon. People actually liked the sneak peek I added at the end better than the 2 minute teaser itself, which makes me happy because that sneak peak is the first 30 seconds of episode 1, and the series will be in that direction. Also, I have started the script, the character models are almost done, and I have started a draft Flash version of the episode. With college ending in a month, I will have more than enough time to release it at the beggining of summer, giving me the chance to make more than 1 episode this summer.

I finally finished Prehistorik: Beautiful Day. This was a college project that I decided to turn into a teaser for my upcoming series, Prehistorik. You can watch it in the "Animations" section on the site. Enjoy! (Oh, and I got 95% for it).

Sorry for the lack of updates, I know I said I would update daily, but I also realised that I don't have much to say during the week. Classes are eating all my spare time, so yeah...

Now that the teaser is done, I'm going to start working on episode 1. I'm still looking for voice actors, so contact me if you can help out with that. I'm also working on a cool poster I want to print out and laminate for my empty-yellow wall.

The animation IS done, I'm just perfecting the backgrounds because I had to rush it a bit to hand it in on the due date. I've never been very good with backgrounds, so I'm taking my time to pratice and to give the environments some depth. Enjoy!

SheezyArt vs DeviantArt

As many of you know, DeviantArt and SheezyArt are online communities where artists, photographs, flash artists, music composers, and more. I have been using both for over a year now. It's a great way to showcase my animations and to get new people interested. However, the users of both sites often have this huge debate on which is better.

Honestly, I think both are really great. DeviantArt is a much bigger community, but your 15 minutes of fame go by really quickly on that site. A very nice submission will be showcased for a very short period of time because of all the other submissions being submitted by the minute. SheezyArt is much smaller, but I see compare it to a village where everybody knows each other. I really like that type of ambiance for a website, and that I why I prefer to go on SheezyArt. Note that some of DeviantArt's features can only be accessible by paying money. Those features are FREE on SheezyArt. Also, Sheezy gives users the possibility to modify the layout of their userpage, which is one of the coolest features (it's like having a personnal webpage).

In the end, both are great, I prefer SheezyArt, but that is just my opinion. If you are looking for some of my work, you can check out my SheezyArt page here, and my DeviantArt page here. Evening everyone! I'm sorry I didn't blog yesterday. I had 8 hours of class and when I got home I had an appointment at the chiropractor. Nothing really intesting to say about yesterday except that I watched the O.C, and I gotta say, this season is really disapointing. I'm a huge O.C fan, and the only dvds I have purchased in my life are the dvds for that show. Season 3 just seem unorganised and a change of writers, but now it's almost done so I'm excited to see what's going to happen next. Thankfully, I started watching 24, and I am hooked.

I'm going to take advantage of my weekend to remake the backgrounds of my nearly done cartoon. I will post some pics asap. I also have an appointment with a manager to make a website for his company. If all goes well, it would be my first real contracted project and I can't wait to get started on that. The fact that I will spend my summer working on websites and animations (things I love to do) is sooo much better than working in a video store (where I worked last summer). Well I better be off! Well my ''spring break'' ended yesterday. Had to get up early this morning to get to class. Ahhh! The week went by pretty quickly, but the good news is that I have only 5 weeks left until my summer vacation. I had Flash class today and I learned that I'm gonna have to make a website for the final project. Should be pretty fun and easy!

Yay! The animation for college is done! I said I wanted to release it tomorrow on the site, but I want to rework on some backgrounds and make it perfect. I'm sorry if someone was looking foward to it, but I think it's a smart move, even though I hate to push back release dates. I'm gonna hand it in to the teacher like it is right now. Not that it's bad, I'm just saying that I had to rush a couple of scenes to make it in time and I want to go back and practice drawing nice backgrounds and eventually using them in the episodes of Prehistorik.

Also, for my college Flash, I had to draw a cavewoman. Well there she is! Cute, isn't she? :)

Easter Sunday

Game Break

A couple of weeks ago, I was wondering what I could do during my spring break (it was pretty late this year). Anyways, when I found out that Kingdom Hearts II was beeing released in North America around that time, I thought it was a good idea to pick it up (like 80% of the SheezyArt users) since I really enjoyed the first one. Turns out I was right. This game was a blast to play. I won't spoil anything, but if you played the first one, you owe to yourself to pick this one up. For an RPG, it was on the short side and much too easy, but I still recommend it. Kingdom Hearts II is in stores now for the PlayStation 2.

Note that this toon is not part of the series, episode 1 will be coming this summer. This is more like a sneak peak. This toon is about the different paths life offers and that whichever path you chose, there will always be obstacles in the way.

Hey guys! Welcome to my new website layout! I am really proud of the final result and after many hours of work and testing (thanks LF, Gen, Oli, Sim) it's finally up!

I will update this blog daily with not only news about my animation progress, but interesting sites I stumble upon, flash movies, videogames and even ... SPORTS :O

I'm currently working on a new toon for school. I wanted to release it with the new site, but the deadline was pushed to next week, so I will use this extra time to make it better. Tomorrow I will post some screen shots on the blog, so stay tuned guys and gals.
